In the game of StarGateWars, Diplomacy is a recurring theme. Diplomacy is the art and practice of conducting negotiations between representatives of groups or nations.

[edit] Diplomatic Relations
Relations has been added into alliances recently. All relations are minimum 24 hour commitments, to either War, Peace, or Neutral.
Usually, farmers declare war to earn more Naquadah after attacking. War also allows ease in finding the same farm for a future visit.
Commanders are allowed to declare war on their officer's behalf, such as All Out War!, Total Neutrality, or Total Peace.
[edit] Diplomatic recognition
The prime goal of an diplomatic team is to recruit members, negociate peace and military commitment, and to offer merges, in which one alliance empties into another to gain a higher stance in the game. Usually, a high position of power is offered to the alliace that merges. The alliance that absorbs the other is usually the one with fewer members.
[edit] Informal diplomacy
When a pact or treaty is not well-defined with exact terms of conditions, it is considered an informal relation. This often leads to confusion and often in forgetting the existence of the treaty.
[edit] Alliance Diplomacy
Often times, a Head Diplomat and a team of diplomatic officers are assigned. Desireable qualities of this position are strong assets that have a firm hold of the English language, resourcefulness, organization, and passion about setting an example worthy of emulation and admiration for the alliance, and kind treatment to others with utmost respect and honesty.

Alliances generally have atleast two diplomatic officers to take care of all external relations with the Stargate-verse. An alliance can define their relations to inform their members their status in the following way:
Alliance Diplomatic Relations
- Peace Treaties or Non-Agression Pacts:
- Full Military Pacts:
- Neutral:
- War Declarations:
Allies-In acts of war, these alliance may depend on us for help and vice versa.
Individual Player Relations
- Allies:
- Enemies:
Status Level
- War - We will take every effort to destroy if at this level, unless a cease-fire is called upon.
- Neutral - This is the assumed default relation, unless a war relation is ignited or peace is declared.
- Peace - At this level, we will try to restrain from farming. Any damaging actions done will be paid for by either sides.
