On Thursday, November 30th, Omega Allegiance declared war on the Earth Protectorate Alliance, launching a series of attacks on their enemies, after the EPA massed Omegan RepliJake.

[edit] Lead up to the confict
Omega holds that the strike was preemptive, citing a hacked classified document from the EPA's forum.
Everyone's getting a little up tight and nasty.
I want all the EPA command members to sort out their problems and not let anything spill over into general forums.
There are some major decisions that will be being made in the next few days and i want everyone to keep their stuff together.
Ok i agree that Jake should be massed. But i want the rest of the EPA prepared because this will bring a war and i'm not scared but it is better that we are prepared.
1 person should mass jake on rob's behalf to keep things all even. When Omega return fire, and we know that they will, i want to make sure everyone has their accounts in war mode eg. lowered D's and spies(to limit loses) and alerts on then if(when) they attack we will return fire with everything we have and have just cause as they struck 1st which will inturn give us the simpathy of the SGW's community and hopefully encourage others to join our cause. If Omega 1st strike and then we return fire hard they will look like pansies if they then enact their COP agreement to bring their allies in. Hopefully this will keep DD etc out and we will only have to deal with Omega/Alpha
Omega has for to long ruled and it is time for the little guys to fight back. I am sure that the list of people that hate Omega is very long and given that we fight hard we can overcome the odds and bring others to the cause and maybe not defeat them but give them a damn good spanking.
This is to remain in command section only for the time being.
I don't want to hear "i'm not ready" because to bad, now is the time. We are starting to fall apart at the seems and this needs to be done.
I want all members to be prepared and now is not the time to be worried about personal or alliance rank and power. In fact if our power and rank lessens then the enemy may become over confident and make vital mistakes.
So before this weekend i want Jake massed and all members prepared. How we get this info to other members without alerting spies is another matter. The people who are trusted will be told but the others will just have to be casualties of war as if this plan is leaked then all is gone to stuff.

Last Saturday Omega pulled the NAP with EPA that was formed when the GA broke down.. Now this is what we perceived to be as an "were going to go to war you very soon" act.. So we told our members to prepare
Sunday Rob1 got massed by Replijake.. Now as annoyed as rob was by this as well as the rest of EPA we thought this was the start of the war.. So we asked our members to prepare for a war..
Sunday evening it is decided that only Rob1 should mass jake as he was the only one attacked.. So that was it.. I closed the thread on the EPA boards and said (what I am now eating these words) "there will be no war this was a once off attack on Rob1 from his actions resulting in him leaving Omega! THERE WILL BE NO WAR!! however if there is we should all be prepared"
Some EPA members were a little pissed that the day after the NAP was cancelled an EPA member got massed and it seemed like EPA was standing by it!!!
This is where that speech came in!! Again we were preparing for a war in which we thought would come about (I said within 12 days) normal activity resumed in the EPA
Monday 3 members of EPA leave to form a new alliance "Wild Clan" they were annoyed at the fact that EPA seemed to be doing nothing about this...
Pissed off by the fact that the members left (abandoned) EPA some members of EPA including myself felt betrayed..
Today Thursday 30th November said members joined Alpha... We thought that these members had betrayed us to join Alpha.. However this is not the case... The three members are still friends of EPA and still have my respect...
Tonight I came home from having dinner out to see a msn message from my commander saying he had been massed by Omega and we were at war..
When I spoke to Jake about it on MSN I was really confused because 4 days earlier we had as far as I was concerned closed the matter..
Now we are at war... And that is that.
An anonymous player provides an insight into the conflict between the players from each alliance that was hosted on Omegan and EPAc forums: "there has been posts made on both alliances' forums dissing the other ... this led to mistrust. The NAP was a joke, if you have a NAP it should be no attacking at all [sic]."

not telling, of Imperial, had the following to say in reaction to the outbreak of the war:
EPA will need to bring in the whole of EPAc to take down Omega and Alpha... [no one] will be able to take Omega down with just 1 alliance... [it] would take all of the 1 - 5 page alliances to take down CoP.
KILLTACULAR of the Omega System Lords, believes that "Osama bin Laden joined the EPA, and that's why they are at war.[sic]"
High Empty, a former EPAc Senator, believes that Omega have a chance at emerging from the war as victors:
"...any alliance that bases it's core members on raiders will never be caught unprepared for war, and will have massing and anti-coverting down to a fine art."

On the 30th of November, 2006, the war between Omega Allegiance and the EPA yielded the following results:

N.B.: The initiator refers to Omega Allegiance, and the target refers to the EPA.
Camelot, of the TSA, claims to have been massed by "Mujo and a few others" and "lost over two million units [sic]". The extent of the damage done to the majority of players on both sides of the war is truly astonishing in comparison to the wars participated in by weaker players in weaker alliances. However, high-ranked players such as S T I have commented on the enjoyment that they have obtained from the war:
As for the war, well I am enjoying it, have had fun with quite a few & I have great pleasure in telling the whole of SGW it has been a pleasure, from the people I have massed to the ones who were trying to mass me we have played & spoke to each other with total respect.
